Job Title: Medical Secretary
Location: Nightingale Hospital, EX2 7JG
Hours: Preferably Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm but manager can also accept part time candidates
Trust Location: Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS FT
Role type: Temporary for 2 months with possibility of extension
Duties to include but not limited to:
· Manage Senior Managers and team diaries
· Organise and co-ordinate meetings including sourcing of suitable venue, time, equipment.
· Provide minute/note taking at meetings, ensuring typed notes are circulated to attendees within the timeframes stipulated within Trust policies/standard operating procedures.
· Ensure that all documentation is produced to an excellent standard. This may include audio typing and personal dictation.
· Maintain records and filing systems in line with Trust policies.
· Operate an effective bring forward system, ensuring necessary range of papers are available to management team.
· Undertake photocopying and distribution of papers as required.
· To set up and maintain accurate and effective filing systems both paper based and electronic filing systems.
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.

An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· EPIC systems experience
· Excellent IT skills
· NHS experience (desirable)
· Good communication and organisational skills
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
