Equipment Cleaner & Quality Checker

Monday to Friday 9am till 5:30pm - fully on site
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Adecco is recruiting on behalf of a growing company based in Colchester seeking a practical and detail‑focused individual to join their refurbishment and preparation team. This hands‑on role is key to ensuring their products are safe, presentable, and ready for resale.
Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, good attention to detail, and an interest in working with equipment and quality checks.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out detailed cleaning and preparation of products to a high standard
Inspect equipment using a structured checklist to ensure items are safe, functional, and fit for resale
Test key components such as batteries, controls, brakes, lights, and general operation
Identify faults or damage and carry out minor repairs or adjustments where appropriate
Accurately record inspection findings and refurbishment work completed
Prepare equipment for photography, ensuring items are clean, presentable, and correctly set up
Assist with photographing products for online listings when required
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
Support stock control, movement of equipment, and general warehouse or workshop duties
Follow health and safety procedures at all timesSkills & Experience:
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow checklists and processes accurately
Practical, hands‑on approach with confidence using basic tools
Good organisational skills and pride in producing high‑quality work
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Basic mechanical, maintenance, or refurbishment experience is desirable but not essential
