About the role and about you
Come and help us in the Garden this Summer!
We are the independent charity that loves and looks after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. The palaces are the setting for the stories that shape us all, and we’re bringing them to people in ways that mean more to them. We want everyone to find themselves in the spaces and stories we share.
As a seasonal Gardener at Hampton Court you will be supporting our full-time team with tasks such as planting, weeding, grass-cutting, dead-heading, and much more. You’ll be assigned to work in a particular garden area, which you’ll help maintain to the highest standards, while also delivering a customer service in keeping with our royal standard to all our visitors.
Previous garden maintenance experience is important, and a driver’s licence is an advantage. At times you will be on your own so having the ability and experience to work independently with minimal supervision is part of this role although care and enthusiasm are just as important. You will also need to demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills.
You will be someone who enjoys working outdoors, who is reliable, and enthusiastic, and with a suitable level of fitness in order to carry out the fundamental requirements of the job profile.
If you think this is the right role for you, we can offer one of the most spectacular working environments around and the opportunity to explore what a new career in horticulture would be like.
Closing Date: 15th April 2026
