As the UK's leading Social Enterprise, we don't discriminate based on any protected attribute. In fact, we're dedicated to creating inclusive and thriving Communities for both our Customers and Employees.
So, what are you waiting for? Join a community that cares about you!
More about the role
As our Acquisition Project Lead within the Planned Investment Team (Assets & Investments), you'll support Living+ through the end-to-end process of assessing and acquiring new homes across the country. You'll combine strong technical capability with a practical, people-focused approach—helping ensure each property is understood, improved where needed and ready to meet the needs of our communities.
You'll take a property from initial assessment through to a clear, deliverable scope by carrying out property and measured surveys and producing accurate floorplans and elevations. You'll develop drawings, schedules and specifications that support the acquisition process and provide clear, well-structured technical reports to inform decisions and next steps.
You'll also support the coordination of planning and building regulation applications, ensure Construction (Design and Management) requirements are met, and promote effective operational Health & Safety. Working with internal colleagues and external partners, you'll help select and appoint suitable contractors, provide reliable technical advice, and maintain accurate systems and records so progress is monitored and reported appropriately.
More about you
You're technically confident and methodical, with a practical approach to problem-solving and a focus on delivering quality work to agreed deadlines. You communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders—contractors, colleagues, local authorities and other professionals—and you can translate technical detail into straightforward guidance. You're organised, comfortable managing a varied workload, and you take pride in keeping information accurate and up to date.
Essential Criteria
You'll bring membership of a professional body such as RICS or CIOB, plus an HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or solid demonstrable experience. You can use AutoCAD (or similar) confidently, you understand Building Regulations and how to apply them in the real world, and you've got a practical grasp of operational Health & Safety, including the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. You understand procurement rules and regulations, you're comfortable with IT tools like Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, and you work well in multi-disciplinary teams. You communicate clearly in writing and in person, you can prioritise to meet realistic targets, costs and time deadlines, and you hold a full current driving licence with access to a suitable vehicle. This role requires a DBS check.
If you're looking for a role where your technical expertise helps create high-quality homes and stronger communities, we'd be pleased to hear from you.
