Occupational Therapy Assistant – Adult Social Care (Reablement Service)
A local authority in East London is seeking Occupational Therapy Assistants to join a new re-enablement service launching in June. This role is ideal for candidates looking to support individuals in regaining independence and improving daily living skills within their own homes.
Main Duties:
Support Occupational Therapists with assessments and reablement interventions
Assist in implementing care plans focused on independence and daily living skills
Support with equipment provision and minor adaptations
Carry out basic moving and handling support under guidance
Work directly with service users in the community
Maintain accurate records and contribute to case notes
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
Promote independence, wellbeing and strengths-based practiceRequirements:
Previous experience working in Adult Social Care or a similar setting
Experience supporting individuals with daily living activities
Understanding of reablement and person-centred care
Good communication and organisational skills
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can assist)
Eligibility to work in the UK
Driving licence and access to a vehicle desirableBenefits:
