Typically, this person will support administrative and operational functions across multiple departments, ensuring efficient scheduling, accurate commercial processing, and high-quality customer support. This is a varied role suited to someone who can manage multiple tasks, support engineers and internal teams, and maintain strong organisational standards.

Duties and responsibilities of the Business Administrator:

Coordinate scheduling of maintenance activities and engineer visits

Ensure engineers have correct documentation, equipment, and site access

Prepare and process invoices, quotations, and service documentation

Create and manage work orders, purchase orders, and sales orders

Maintain accurate data across internal systems (ERP/Dynamics)

Process timesheets, expenses, and track training/certifications
-
Produce KPI reports and customer documentation within deadlines

Liaise with customers, engineers, and internal departments

Support compliance, documentation control, and quality processes

Manage inbound enquiries, emails, and general office administration

Assist with travel arrangements, warranty claims, and ad hoc admin tasks

Support continuous improvement of processes and workflows
Qualifications and requirements for the Business Administrator:

Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role

Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office essential)

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks

GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)

Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience in scheduling, operations, or engineering environments (desirable)
