We’re currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative with Counterbalance experience to join a well-established distributor within the building materials sector. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability and progression.
The Role:
Working as part of a small team across two warehouse buildings, you’ll be responsible for ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently and accurately.
Key Duties:

Picking orders using picking lists

Operating a Counterbalance forklift

Locating stock using warehouse location systems

Packing, labelling, and palletising goods for dispatch

Loading/unloading containers
-
Stock replenishment using pump trucks

General warehouse maintenance and organisation
-
Identifying stock/location discrepancies
-
Manual handling (regular lifting up to 25kg)

Supporting wider warehouse operations as needed
Requirements:

Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence (external, not in-house)

Full UK driving licence & own transport (due to location)

Previous warehouse experience (picker/packer desirable)

Comfortable with manual handling and working at height (ladders)

Good attention to detail and organisation skills

Able to work in a fast-paced environment
