The Role
A client-focused payroll position within a collaborative team, managing end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients.
You’ll take ownership of multiple payrolls while supporting senior team members and ensuring accurate, compliant delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end payroll for a client portfolio

Process PAYE, NIC and BACS payments

Handle payroll queries from clients and HMRC
-
Maintain payroll records and workflow systems

Support setup of PAYE schemes and new client onboarding

Ensure timely submissions and compliance with legislation

Assist with year-end processes and reporting

Contribute to process improvements within the payroll team
The Ideal Candidate
-
Minimum 2 years’ payroll experience (ideally in practice/bureau)

Strong knowledge of PAYE, NIC and auto-enrolment
-
Ability to perform manual payroll calculations

Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and client-facing skills
-
Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Experience with Paycircle and/or CIPP study (desirable)
