Testing Operative

My client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Testing Operative to join the team. This role is crucial in ensuring product quality, supporting production processes, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities

Work in accordance with all legislative and company requirements for Health, Safety, and Environment

Adhere to and follow instructions detailed in relevant Risk Assessments and COSHH assessments

Determine the quality of parts and assemblies using test equipment in line with company SOPs
-
Operate test equipment and carry out tasks necessary to complete work orders to required specifications

Assemble products in accordance with company SOPs
-
Support the Quality Assurance department with product evaluation activities

Prepare and set up tools and equipment, including performing routine maintenance

Arrange and handle parts appropriately for subsequent process stages using correct storage and transport methods

Carry out low-pressure leak testing to ensure component leak tightness

Perform low-voltage electrical operational testing on system components

Assemble components using hand-held, battery-powered tooling

Conduct visual inspection of welds and remove weld fumes and spatter from key areas

Review finished assemblies and components to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met

Identify, report, and assist in resolving fabrication or assembly issues

Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing quality and productivity enhancements

Participate in cross-functional meetings as required

Support new projects as required by the business

Perform any other duties as requested by the Team Leader
Physical Requirements:
- The role involves mechanically assisted lifting and manoeuvring of components weighing up to 42 kg and approximately 2.4 metres in length
