The Role
You will play a key part in the finance team, supporting daily operations and contributing to accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities include:
Essential Duties
Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and reports
Ensuring all financial practices align with accounting standards and company policies
Completing bank reconciliations
Providing payroll support
Managing intercompany transactions
Supporting year‑end audit processes
Payroll consolidation tasks
Desired Experience
Handling purchase ledger activities
Fixed asset accounting
Preparing and reviewing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
Conducting variance analysis to highlight trends and identify potential issues
Working collaboratively with other departments to support business decisions
Additional Requirements
Carrying out ad hoc duties as required by senior management and directors
Experience with Sage (1000) is advantageous.
Skills & Qualifications
AAT Level 4 qualification (minimum requirement)
Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and procedures
Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, or Xero
Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
Advanced Excel abilities for data analysis and reporting
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
