Prospero Teaching are proud to be supporting a reputable secondary school in Taunton who are seeking a dedicated HR Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for supporting staff and school operations. The role is ideal for individuals with previous HR experience or those looking to develop their HR career within an education environment.
The Role
As the school's HR Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR processes across the school. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing staff files, records, and compliance documentation
Supporting recruitment processes, including advertising roles and arranging interviews
Processing DBS checks and maintaining safeguarding compliance
Assisting with onboarding and induction of new staff
Providing general HR and administrative support to the senior leadership team
Helping maintain accurate HR systems and data
Supporting with staff absence records, payroll information, and contracts
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience in HR or school administration (desirable, not essential)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Ability to handle confidential information professionally
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
A proactive, supportive, and positive approach to working within a school team
