Job Overview
The Production Operative will support day-to-day manufacturing operations, working closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure output targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, where success is measured by efficiency, accuracy, and reliability on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and run production machinery in accordance with operational guidelines
Assist in the build and preparation of specialist manufactured components
Deliver assigned workloads within agreed timeframes and required standards
Perform inspections to ensure output meets quality expectations, escalating any issues identified
Keep work areas tidy, structured, and compliant with safety standards
Adhere to all site health & safety policies, including the correct use of protective equipment
Support routine equipment checks and highlight any mechanical concerns
Provide input into daily output tracking and performance metrics
Highlight opportunities to improve processes and contribute to efficiency enhancements
Person Specification
Experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment
Understanding of production processes, assembly, or industrial manufacturing
Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines
Physically capable of working in a hands-on, shop floor environment
Full UK right to work and access to own transport
