The Opportunity
As an Assistant Estimator, you will support the preparation of cost estimates, tender submissions, and commercial evaluations for a variety of M&E projects, ranging from commercial fit-outs to complex building services schemes. You will work closely with senior estimators and project teams, gaining exposure to all aspects of the estimating process and the commercial side of M&E contracting.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing accurate estimates and tender submissions for M&E projects

Measure and quantify take-offs from drawings and specifications

Support cost research, supplier, and subcontractor enquiries

Prepare material, labour, plant, and subcontractor cost inputs

Assist in compiling bills of quantities and tender documentation

Collaborate with the commercial and project teams to gather and verify data

Maintain estimating databases and cost libraries
Requirements

Some experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or commercial support (M&E or construction experience preferred)

Understanding of construction drawings and basic measurement principles

Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills

Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Desire to learn and develop in estimating and commercial roles

Relevant construction qualification or demonstrable experience
