Commercial Vehicle Quality Technician
About the Role
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a Commercial Vehicle Quality Technician to join a busy production and workshop environment. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring all vehicle builds, modifications, and installations meet strict quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications before delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspection & Assurance

Carry out detailed inspections of completed commercial vehicles, including bodywork, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

Inspect conversions such as lutons, dropsides, platforms, and curtain siders

Ensure all work meets job cards, technical drawings, and build specifications
Compliance & Standards

Ensure all builds comply with company procedures, safety standards, and relevant regulations

Verify that build documentation and inspection records are completed accurately

Support adherence to manufacturer and industry standards
Production Support & Continuous Improvement
Documentation & Reporting

Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records

Ensure documentation is stored correctly for audit and traceability purposes

Clearly communicate defects and rework requirements to relevant teams
Health, Safety & Housekeeping

Follow all health & safety procedures and safe working practices

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Adhere to company policies and housekeeping standards
About You
We’re looking for someone with a strong eye for detail and a proactive approach to quality control.

Previous experience working with commercial vehicles in a workshop, manufacturing, or conversion environment

Good understanding of vehicle body builds and installation processes

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications
