Contract Type: Full-Time (Term-time)
Working Hours: 08:30 - 15:30
Rate of Pay: GBP90.00 - GBP110.00 per day
About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Support Assistant to join a specialist provision in Leeds. In this role, you will support students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including learning difficulties, autism, and physical disabilities. Many students require tailored support both in the classroom and during school activities.
This is a rewarding opportunity where you will help students thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment. You will collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure that students receive the best possible support in their educational development.
As a SEND Support Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEND.
Assist with classroom tasks, personal care, and mobility where needed.
Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provide tailored support to meet students learning needs.
Promote engagement, independence, and inclusion for all students.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and care staff to deliver a holistic approach to student support.
What Were Looking For:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, autism, or learning difficulties (desirable).
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
Willingness to assist with personal care and mobility tasks where required.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the dignity of vulnerable students.
To be eligible for this role, you must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (or be willing to apply).
Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
