1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant – Carlisle
Humly is recruiting a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school on a long-term basis.
This is a part-time role starting 13th April 2026 and continuing until 17th July 2026. This role would suit a compassionate and patient individual with experience supporting pupils with additional needs, particularly within Key Stage 1. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil, providing consistent and tailored support to aid their communication and learning development.
What You’ll Be Doing

Provide 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with communication and learning difficulties

Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs

Support the development of communication and social skills

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies

Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
What You’ll Bring

Experience working as a SEN Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role

Understanding of supporting pupils with communication and learning needs

Experience within a primary or KS1 setting

A patient, empathetic, and consistent approach

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Pay
£15.46+ per hour
