Candour Talent are recruiting an Insurance Claims Handler to join their client’s team in Cardiff.
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Insurance Claims Handler to join our client’s small team on the outskirts of Cardiff.
The successful candidate will oversee restoration projects for the UK’s top insurance customers across the South Wales and Bristol area, and you will manage your own files and caseload from start to finish. Previous Claims Handler or Insurance Claims Administaor experience is essential for this role, although full training on the processes and systems will be provided. You will also be surrounded by a supportive and helpful team of dedicated claims professionals.
This is an office-based role and own transport would be preferable due to location. The role comes with a generous holiday allowance with the opportunity to buy more annual leave. Salary is negotiable and will be reviewed with ongoing experience.
The Role:

Liaise and develop effective working relationships with insurance clients, with customers, and with the team of field-based technicians.

Manage and take ownership of own caseload from start to finish.

Process claims and ensures all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Plan an allocate work to technicians in the field.

Ensure parties are updated with changes to claim status.

Respond to incoming enquiries via telephone and email.
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Previous experience in a similar Claims Handler or Claims Administrator role, preferably in household or commercial claims.

Excellent administration, time-management, and organisational skills.

Excellent IT proficiency.

Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.

Self-sufficient, but able to work in a small team as needed.

Able to remain calm under pressure and prioritise own workload

A good geographical knowledge of the South East Wales and Bristol area, an advantage

Enthusiastic to learn and gain further knowledge
