Job Purpose
We are seeking a friendly and reliable Shop Assistant to deliver excellent customer service within a busy accessories and leisure retail environment. You will support customers in selecting and purchasing caravan and motorhome products while helping to maintain high shop standards, manage stock, and assist wider teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Greet and assist customers in a professional and approachable manner
Offer knowledgeable advice on accessories and leisure products
Understand customer needs and recommend suitable solutions
Handle customer queries, returns, and basic complaints efficiently
Sales & Retail Operations
Process transactions accurately using a till/POS system
Promote products and upsell where appropriate
Support in-store promotions, seasonal displays, and offers
Stay up to date with product ranges and new stock
Stock Control
Receive, check, and book in deliveries
Replenish shelves and maintain organised stock areas
Assist with stock takes and inventory management
Report low stock levels and discrepancies
Shop Presentation
Ensure the shop floor is clean, tidy, and well presented
Maintain clear pricing and accurate product labelling
Create attractive displays to support sales
Team Support
Work collaboratively with internal teams to supply parts and accessories
Assist with preparing customer orders and collections
Provide general support across the business during busy periods
Skills & Experience
Essential

Previous retail or customer-facing experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Basic IT skills

Knowledge of caravanning, motorhomes, or leisure products

5 days per week, including Saturdays on a rota basis
