An established and growing insurance business is seeking a New Business Account Handler to join its Corporate & Commercial team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Based in Colchester with hybrid working, this is an excellent opportunity for someone with insurance and sales experience who enjoys a target-driven environment and building strong client relationships.
You will play an important role in handling and converting new business enquiries, supporting clients through the insurance process while delivering a high level of service.
Key Responsibilities
Converting inbound and generated leads into new business opportunities
Understanding client needs and recommending appropriate insurance solutions
Building relationships with insurers, introducers, and internal teams
Working towards individual and team targets for income, conversions, and lead generation
Managing client communications and following up on documentation and requirements
Providing a professional and consultative service to clients throughout the process
About You
Previous insurance experience is essential
At least 2 years’ sales experience, ideally within a new business environment
Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
Target driven with a proactive and positive approach
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational and time management skills
