Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Family Court Advisor to join the CAFCASS Work After First Hearing (WAFH) Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertaking detailed post-first hearing assessments to support the Family Court in private law proceedings.
- Completing Section 7 reports and other court-directed assessments to inform decisions regarding child arrangements.
- Conducting direct work with children and families to understand their experiences and ensure the voice of the child is represented.
- Assessing safeguarding risks including domestic abuse, parental conflict, and other factors impacting the welfare of children.
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies to gather information and ensure a comprehensive assessment process.
- Attending court hearings and providing professional advice where required.

Managing a complex caseload and ensuring all reports and documentation meet court deadlines and CAFCASS standards.

£37 p/h Umbrella
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- Social Work England Registration
- Experience working within children's safeguarding or court-related roles
- Experience completing assessments and analytical reports for court proceedings

Strong knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and private law proceedings
