The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant in this specialist setting, you will:
Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including speech and communication difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and medical or physical conditions.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver personalised learning plans and targeted interventions.
Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and resilience while supporting positive social interactions.
Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment where pupils feel supported and valued.
Assist with personal care where required, always maintaining dignity and following safeguarding procedures.
What We're Looking For
Experience working with SEN or supporting young people with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
Positive behaviour management skills with a calm and supportive attitude.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
