Outdoor Learning Support Assistant – Full Time

Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 4:00pm | Term Time Only

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Outdoor Learning Support Assistants to support a specialist outdoor education setting in South Brent. This role involves working with children and young people who benefit from learning in a practical, outdoor environment rather than a traditional classroom.
This is a hands-on and highly rewarding role suited to individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are confident supporting pupils who may find mainstream education challenging.
The Role
Support pupils during outdoor learning activities and practical education sessions
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs
Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and engagement through outdoor learning experiences
Support behaviour and emotional regulation in a structured and supportive environment
Work closely with teaching staff and outdoor instructors to deliver engaging learning opportunities
Encourage participation in nature-based activities, teamwork and life skills development
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people (education, youth work, coaching, outdoor education or similar)
Confidence supporting pupils who may have additional needs or behavioural challenges
Enthusiasm for outdoor learning and alternative education environments
Reliable, patient and able to build positive relationships with young people
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Monday – Friday
8:30am – 4:00pm
Term-time only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
