Our client, a well-established international organisation, are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented transactional finance professional to join a collaborative finance team and play a key role in supporting financial accuracy, month-end processes, and operational reporting.
As part of the finance team, you will be responsible for supporting key accounts payable and financial control processes, ensuring accuracy across invoice management, reconciliations, and cost allocation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Matching receipts and invoices to ensure accurate financial records
- Processing manual journal entries and transferring costs between cost centres
- Managing pending approvals and ensuring the timely processing of financial documentation
- Supporting month-end processes, including statement reconciliations
- Uploading and processing invoices through financial verification systems
- Liaising with internal finance teams and external stakeholders to resolve queries
- Supporting the wider finance team to ensure strong financial controls and reporting accuracy.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in Accounts Payable
- Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills
- Experience supporting month-end processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
- Experience using finance systems and invoice processing tools
- Good Excel and data management skills
