Our client is entering an exciting period of transition, growth, and future-focused stabilisation, and they're looking for a proactive, detail-driven Finance Assistant who's confident stepping into a busy environment and hitting the ground running.
While there may not be a handover from the outgoing postholder, you'll have the support of an experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable team who will help you get up to speed quickly. What You'll Be Doing
In this varied and hands-on role, you will support the finance function across a wide range of responsibilities:
Reviewing and managing the finance inbox
Supplier set-ups
Posting purchase invoices with the correct approvals, including Construction Industry Scheme and reverse charge VAT
Reconciling job and project costs between SimPro (CRM) and Xero
Cashbook posting (income & expenses) and reconciliations across current, loan, credit card, and petty cash accounts
Updating daily cash balances for director review
Scheduling and processing payments (PL, DDs, HMRC)
Supplier statement reconciliations
Supporting credit control and sending customer statements
Month-end support
Providing Directors with up-to-date financial information and reporting
Covering weekly payroll when necessary (desirable)About You
