A well-established and growing organisation based in Kettering is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their Finance team. The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant will support the finance department with the day-to-day management of purchase ledger activities across UK and international entities.
Key responsibilities will include:
Registering incoming purchase ledger invoices and distributing them to relevant departments for approval
Matching and receipting invoices against purchase orders
Processing approved purchase invoices
Processing employee expenses and company credit card transactions
Preparing and processing weekly supplier payments via BACS and Faster Payments
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries
Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records and payment entries
Managing sales ledger customer data including setting up new customer accounts and updating existing records for UK and international entitiesCandidate Profile We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a collaborative finance team.
Essential requirements:
AAT Qualified or currently studying towards AAT Level 4
Previous purchase ledger experience
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
IT literate with confidence using finance systems
Flexible, proactive and willing to learnDesirable:
Experience using Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar systemsSalary & Benefits
