Hours: 08:45 - 17:00
Shift Pattern: 9‑day fortnight
Week 1: Monday to Friday
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (Wednesday off)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Recycling Operator to join our team at a busy recycling centre in the Glenrothes/Kirkcaldy area. This is a hands‑on, active role where you will play an important part in supporting sustainable waste management for the local community.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting members of the public with the safe disposal and sorting of waste materials
Ensuring recyclable materials are handled correctly and efficiently
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
Providing excellent customer service and guidance on recycling procedures
Supporting the overall operations of the recycling centre as required
What We're Looking For
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
Good communication skills with a friendly, helpful approach
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
Previous waste/recycling experience beneficial but not essential
