We are recruiting for a Production Operative to support a sterile production team at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Worthing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a small team and is comfortable working in both pharmaceutical preparation areas and cleanroom environments. Some heavy lifting is required, so candidates must be confident with manual handling tasks.
As a Production Operative you will play a vital part in ensuring all equipment, components, and materials are sterilised and prepared for production. Part of the role involves moving goods between buildings using the company van, therefore a clean driving licence is essential.
You must also be comfortable being fully gowned and working in Grade A, B and C cleanrooms for part of the shift.
As a Production Operative, your key responsibilities will include:

Completing work requests to meet production demand

Operating machinery to sterilise and sanitise equipment

Managing consumable stock levels across production areas

Ensuring all activities are completed to GMP standards

Supporting the cleaning and disinfection of Grade A/B/C areas

Unloading cleanroom machinery and preparing materials for use
Requirements for the Production Operative:

Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment wearing full PPE

Ability to perform some heavy lifting

Strong communication skills and a team‑focused mindset

Ability to follow GMP processes and documentation

Clean UK driving licence (required)

The Production Operative is a full‑time, permanent role working Monday to Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm to begin with. From June 2026, you will move onto a rotating shift pattern: Week 1 (6am–2pm) and Week 2 (2pm–10pm). Once on the rotating shifts, you will receive a 15% shift allowance paid monthly, taking your salary up to £30,165.
