Accounts Assistant – Cannock (Office Based)
A growing and friendly business based in Cannock is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their small but supportive and growing finance team. This is a brilliant opportunity for an Accounts Assistant who enjoys a varied role and would like exposure to both transactional finance and analysis as the business continues to grow.
The Accounts Assistant will play an important part in the day-to-day running of the finance function, supporting with invoicing, reconciliations and reporting. You will also work closely with external accountants to help develop and improve financial processes as the business evolves.
The company currently uses Xero and will be moving to Sage, so the Accounts Assistant will gain valuable exposure to systems and process improvements as part of the role.
Ideally you will;

Have experience working as an Accounts Assistant or within a similar finance role

Be comfortable processing purchase ledger and sales ledger invoices as well as bank reconciliation

Have good Excel skills including Pivot Tables, V Look Ups and be comfortable producing reports such as cashflow and updating spreadsheets

Be organised, proactive and enjoy working within a small office environment
