Job Title: Interim Administrative Officer – Housing (Maintenance & Compliance)
Location: West Sussex (Office-based)
Contract: Interim – 6 months initially

Rate: £23 per hour
Overview
A Local Authority in West Sussex is seeking a highly organised and hardworking Interim Administrative Officer to support their Housing Maintenance and Compliance teams. Key Responsibilities

Acting as a first point of contact for residents, handling incoming calls and enquiries in a professional and helpful manner

Scheduling and booking maintenance and compliance jobs for housing properties

Liaising with internal teams, contractors, and residents to coordinate works

Maintaining accurate records and updating internal IT systems

Providing general administrative support to the Maintenance and Compliance teams

Ensuring queries and requests are logged and processed efficiently
Requirements

Strong organisational and administrative skills

Confident handling phone enquiries and dealing with residents

Good IT literacy and ability to work with internal systems and databases

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Desirable

Previous experience working within Public Sector Housing or Social Housing

Administrative experience within the public sector

Experience supporting property, maintenance, repairs, or compliance related teams
