If you understand the lifecycle of a credit hire claim and can confidently defend and negotiate, we want to hear from you.#LI-CL1 #LI-HybridThis is the jobAs a Credit Hire Handler, you’ll manage a portfolio of credit hire claims presented against us, with full ownership from investigation through to settlement or litigation.Your focus will be clear:Reduce indemnity spendMinimise litigation riskDeliver fair, commercially sound outcomesKeep customers informed and supportedThis is a role for someone who understands strategy, evidence, and negotiation — not just process. What will I be doing?Managing and defending a portfolio of credit hie claimsConducting detailed liability and indemnity investigationsIdentifying intervention opportunities to reduce hire duration and costChallenging rates, need, and period arguments using evidence-based negotiationLiaising confidently with CHOs, third-party insurers, solicitors and customersPreparing files for litigation and working closely with panel solicitorsMaintaining accurate reserves and financial exposure controlsWhat do I need?Proven experience handling liability motor claims (essential)Strong working knowledge of defending credit hire claims (highly desirable)Confident negotiator with a track record of controlling indemnity spendStrong technical understanding of credit hire principlesAbility to manage workload independently and prioritise effectivelyResilience and sound judgement under pressure Additional InformationWe’re always looking to recognise and reward our employees for the work they do.
