About the Role
We are looking for reliable, hardworking Waste & Recycling Operatives to join our team in Stanley. This is a hands-on, active role suitable for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and being part of a supportive team focused on keeping the local area clean, safe, and environmentally responsible.
Key Responsibilities

Collecting household and commercial waste and recycling materials along designated routes

Assisting the driver with safe manoeuvring and operation of collection vehicles

Sorting, loading, and transporting waste and recyclable materials

Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with health & safety procedures

Providing excellent customer service to residents and businesses

Reporting any issues, hazards, or missed collections to the supervisor
What We’re Looking For

Good level of physical fitness – the role involves walking, lifting, and repetitive tasks

Strong work ethic and a positive, team-focused attitude

Reliability and punctuality

Ability to work in all weather conditions

Previous experience in waste management or manual labour is beneficial but not essential

Must be comfortable working early mornings
