Nocturnal Recruitment Solutions are looking for a passionate, confident Team Leader to join a Day Centre in Harrow, supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Complex Needs to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, developing staff, and creating a positive, engaging environment where the people we support can thrive.
You will lead a team of dedicated Support Workers and play a key role in ensuring the service delivers high-quality, person-centred support every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Team Leader, you will help shape a service that truly puts people first.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and motivating a team of Support Workers to deliver outstanding care and support
- Coordinating daily activities and programmes within the Resource Centre such as therapeutic sessions as well as recreational and educational activities
- Ensuring individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs receive meaningful, person-centred support
- Supporting staff through supervision, mentoring, and guidance
- Promoting independence, wellbeing, and inclusion for the people we support
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health & safety and care quality
- Working closely with families, professionals and multidisciplinary teams
- Supporting rota planning and smooth day-to-day running of the service
About You
We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, organised and confident in leading others.
You will likely have:
- Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Needs
- Experience as a Team Leader in a care setting
- A strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
- The ability to motivate, support and develop a team
- Confidence managing complex needs or behaviours that challenge
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full flexibility to work across service needs
Desirable
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards Level 5)
- Experience working in a day service
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support
