Our client, a long-established family firm with a network of branches in the South and East of England, that supply machinery and services to the agricultural, construction and professional ground care machinery markets, are looking for a Delivery Driver to join their team at their Head Office local to Maldon, Essex.
On offer:
- Full-time permanent role
- Working Hours: 39 hours per week – 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break) Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday, Saturdays as and when required.

Main Purpose of the Role:
Reporting directly to the Groundcare Sales Office Manager, you will be responsible for the collection and delivery of machinery sold by the company as required by a range of customers. You will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive a consistently high level of service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect and deliver machinery as required to a range of customers
- Promote the safe use of machinery and implements to the end users
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe vehicle
- Dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis, both face to face and over the phone
- Identify opportunities and build new relationships with customers
- Positively promote the Company image and its products
- Liaise with customers and suppliers as required
- Attend training courses as required by the company to maintain satisfactory levels of compliance and understanding
To be Considered:
- Full UK driving licence
- Clear delivery drivering experience required.
- Good, sound knowledge of ground care machinery and its equipment would be advantageous
- A mechanical background would be advantageous
- Experience with safe loading practices for heavy items or machinery
- Excellent customer service skills as dealing with members of the public and visiting their homes
- Be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative
- A team player
- Smart, clean and tidy appearance as is a customer facing role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Good general level of health and fitness
