The Port Operative role will be part of multi skilled and work within a team to carry out operations efficiently, effectively and in a safe manner, operating plant, equipment, and support tasks across all areas of the site.
This is a site-based role with work primarily based in Teesside England. Willingness to work flexible hours as required for 24/7 operation within a multi shift pattern.

Responsibilities

Operating heavy machinery, such as Telehandlers, Forklifts and MEWP's when required.

Climbing to heights and conducting work example – Slinging and Signalling.

Port Operations and logistics. (Stevedoring)

Follow instructions from supervisors.

Carry out any other tasks deemed necessary by site team.

Ensure GE policies and procedures are applied and complied with on assigned projects.

Report any EHS incidents.
Requirements
-
Ability to use basic hand tools and HYTORC equipment desirable.

Mechanical comprehension desirable.
-
Previous experience working as a Port Operative / Stevedore / Multi-skilled Operative is highly desirable.

FLT NPORS CAT B / C highly desirable
