A leading defence engineering organisation is looking for a Delivery Manager to join their Export Strategy & Industrial Participation team, helping to deliver international Technology Transfer programmes.
In this role, you'll work closely with UK and international suppliers, internal technical teams, and overseas customers to make sure licensed manufacturing capability is delivered smoothly and successfully.
Role: Procurement Technology Transfer Delivery Manager
Type: Permanent
Location: Stevenage (3 days on‑site per week)
Salary: Circa £50,000 + bonus
Key responsibilities for the Delivery Manager will include and will not be limited to:
Deliver small to medium Technology Transfer projects on time, to budget and to the right quality, while supporting senior managers on larger international programmes.
Keep Statements of Work, deliverables and documentation up to date, ensuring everything meets governance and export control requirements.
Create and update project reports, plans, schedules and resource details using information from suppliers and procurement teams.
Organise reviews and meetings with suppliers and Transfer Recipients, take clear minutes, and build strong relationships with multinational stakeholders.
Manage risks, opportunities, financial tasks (including royalties/licence fees), and support subcontract negotiations.
Travel across Europe, particularly Poland and Italy, to oversee delivery work and meet key stakeholders.
Key skills and experience required for the Delivery Manager position and will not be limited to:
Ambitious with excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment; naturally curious, persistent, and confident challenging requirements when needed.
Happy to travel across Europe at short notice and able to work effectively with partners from different cultures.
Experience with Project Management tools and methods (e.g., Gantt charts, resource planning, schedule risk analysis).
Understanding of Technology Transfer, Offset, subcontracting, contracts/SOWs/RFQs, IP licensing and Export Control (advantageous).
Degree in Business/Project Management (desirable) or equivalent industry experience.
