The Opportunity
Following a period of sustained growth, a well-established UK business is looking to appoint an enthusiastic HR Assistant to join its expanding HR team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career within HR and recruitment. You will join a supportive and experienced HR function within a growing organisation, gaining exposure across recruitment, HR systems, and day-to-day people operations.
The role would suit either an entry-level candidate with a genuine interest in HR, or an experienced administrator / HR Assistant looking to take the next step in a structured and developing environment.
The Role
Working closely with the wider HR team, you will support the delivery of HR services across multiple operational areas. A key focus of the role will be recruitment coordination, alongside general HR administration and employee support.
This is a full-time, office-based position, working Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00.
Key Responsibilities
Support end-to-end recruitment activity, including advertising roles, screening applicants, and coordinating interviews
Build relationships with candidates via telephone and email, particularly within operational recruitment
Maintain and update HR systems and employee records
Respond to HR-related queries from employees and managers
Support diary management and administrative coordination
Assist with onboarding documentation and compliance processes
Provide general administrative support to the HR team as required
About You
Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
A genuine interest in HR and recruitment
Confident communicator, particularly via telephone
Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks
Positive, motivated, and supportive team player
Competent in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
Previous office or HR experience advantageous but not essential
Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) preferred
