This will be a full time, permanent position working work at our College in Streatley.As the Deputy Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the adult social care provision, this involves working with the staff team to deliver a range of activities both within the center and in the community. The successful candidate will work with the Education Services Manager to ensure that the training, development and management of staff effectively reflects the needs of the service and ensuring at all times that the service is compliant with its statutory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesTo support the manager in providing line management support to a team of staff by:Conducting regular supervisions (in line with KPI frequency) where performance is assessed, managed and developedConducting regular team meetings where service progress and person centeredness is assessed, managed and developedMaintaining a team of appropriately trained staff to meet the needs of each individual using the serviceTo support the manager in maintaining appropriate levels of staff to meet the needs of the individuals in the service by:Planning and managing a rotaManaging the impact of absenceInducting new startersEnsuring the safeguarding of individuals in our care by adhering to our policies and procedures, acting on concerns raised, and reporting as required.Ensuring that staff are trained and competent in line with policies and procedures.To support the manager to identify needs and outcomes for each individual who uses the service by:Conducting or commissioning appropriate assessmentsEnsuring that statutory services have conducted appropriate assessmentsConducting person centred reviews at appropriate intervals, engaging the necessary partnersTranslating recommendations into action by designing and delivering support plansActively engaging families and external professionals where appropriateAbout YouA full UK license and use of your own vehicle is essential.A minimum of Level 2 in Maths and EnglishProven experience of supervising and line managing staff in accordance with policy and legislation.A good understanding of Safeguarding.A clean licence and own car is essential for the post.Experience with writing care plans and has a good understanding of person-centred planning and approachesAbout SenseWe believe that every disabled person should have the opportunity to connect with others and be included in the world.
