School Premises Assistants / Caretakers
Location: Teesside & Surrounding Areas
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £90-£120 per day
Contract: Long-term temporary (potential to go permanent)
As Veritas Education continue their growth across Teesside and the surrounding areas, we are actively seeking School Premises Assistants / Caretakers to support a wide range of school settings, including mainstream primary, secondary, and specialist provision schools.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience working within a school environment who take pride in ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained school site.
Role Responsibilities
Opening and closing the school each day
General maintenance, basic repairs, and upkeep of the school building and grounds
Ensuring the school site is safe, clean, and compliant
Supporting with security and facilities management
Liaising with school leadership and external contractors when requiredIdeal Candidate
Experience working as a caretaker, premises assistant, or in a facilities role
Experience within a school setting is highly desirable
Confident completing general maintenance tasks
Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
A driver with access to a vehicle (preferred)
DBS on the Update Service (we can support if not)
Strong understanding of safeguarding and the importance of maintaining a safe school environmentWhat's on Offer
