About the role…
We are looking for a Planning, Customer & Performance Manager to lead the Planning & Scheduling and Customer teams for the Yorkshire Water Developer Services contract. You will lead the team to ensure work is planned efficiently, safely and in line with contractual KPIs and SLAs. You’ll optimise all available resources, support field operations and work closely with Yorkshire Water to deliver a reliable, high-quality service and an excellent customer experience. This role is planning led, but demands a strong customer mindset.
The role will be based in the Yorkshire area.
This is a hybrid role, working from the office 3 days per week with 2 days spent working from home typically.
What will your day look like…
• Lead and develop the team to deliver effective plans for the field operations teams to maximise productivity and efficiencies whilst maintaining an excellent customer experience.
• Develop a strong, collaborative partnership with Yorkshire Water and all key stakeholders to ensure consistently high-quality service delivery. Participate in regular performance review meetings with YW, providing transparent updates, tracking progress against agreed actions and proactively managing risks to maintain alignment and reinforce trusted relationships.
• Monitor and improve department performance through compliance with KPIs and SLAs, work basket sizes, backlog volumes and jeopardy.
• Ensure planning dependencies such as streetworks notices, permits, and traffic management are all in place prior to dispatch whilst also ensuring safety and compliance.
• Ensure planning decisions, workflows and process improvements always consider customer impact
• Use existing BI and performance insights to identify risks, trends and opportunities, ensuring both Planning and Customer functions operate proactively and efficiently.
• Oversee the Customer function, ensuring high standards of communication, timeliness and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Compliance teams to ensure insights translate into clear operational actions.

• Proven experience leading and developing teams
• Strong knowledge of planning and scheduling systems (SAP/Advantex desirable)
• Customer-focused with a commitment to high service standards
• Confident and effective verbal communicator
• Effective stakeholder engagement
• Highly computer literate and comfortable using multiple systems
• Experience working within a utilities sector
