Elvet Recruitment is currently working with a reputable housebuilder to recruit a Regional Finance Assistant based in their North East office. This is a dynamic role where your primary responsibility will be to support accurate and insightful financial reporting across the Region, working closely with the Regional Head of Finance and colleagues across Finance, Commercial, and Operations.
This role is ideal for someone who is part‑qualified or newly qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and eager to build strong technical skills while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative and supportive environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial clarity, providing meaningful insights, and helping drive performance across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Support the production of month-end financials and assist in preparing commentary to explain results

Ensure financial judgements are clear, well-supported, and reviewed with the Regional Head of Finance

Help prepare budgets and forecasts while understanding key drivers behind regional performance

Record and monitor overheads, providing insight and constructive challenge to operational teams

Support cash flow forecasting and highlight areas for improving return on investment

Build a strong understanding of each development site, including WIP levels, and raise any concerns

Improve data quality across the Region and help resolve data issues

Work closely with operational teams to understand performance drivers and support continuous improvement

Assist the Regional Head of Finance with daily tasks and provide cover when needed
What We’re Looking For:

Part‑qualified or newly qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Confident using Excel; experience with COINS or Anaplan is a bonus

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

A good communicator who enjoys working with non‑finance teams

Curious, proactive, and keen to learn

Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

A team player with a collaborative mindset
Role Information:
