Academics / Term Time Teachers are recruiting for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to work full time (Monday to Friday) in a primary school in Eastbourne.
This role involves working 1:1 with a child with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). You will play a vital role in supporting the child's academic progress, social development, and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.
You will be working closely with the SENCO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure tailored support strategies are implemented consistently and effectively.
The Role:
Full-time position - Monday to Friday
1:1 support for a child with ASD
Implementing strategies outlined in the EHCP
Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
Liaising closely with the SENCO and SLTRequirements:
Minimum of 6 months' experience working with SEN children (essential)
Experience supporting children with ASD
DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Two years' worth of references
