Overview of the Role
We are recruiting for a highly organised and detail-driven Account Assistant to support the finance function of our busy and growing business. This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical accuracy, excellent administrative skills, and a proactive approach to handling financial data.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of accounts processes, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Assisting with accounts payable and receivable
• Bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance
• Handling supplier queries and statement reconciliations
• Supporting month-end procedures
• Data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with payroll administration
• Filing and general finance administration
Skills & Experience Required
• Previous experience in an accounts / finance role
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Desired experience using accounting software (e.g. Xero preferable)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Well organised with good time management
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
