Our Education Client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Temporary Finance Assistant to provide cover from 12/03 until a permanent appointment is made. There is potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and assess purchase orders to ensure best value before processing, making recommendations to the Finance Manager where appropriate.

Collate and process purchase orders and invoices, ensuring correct authorisation is obtained in line with Trust procurement procedures.

Use the Trust’s digital purchasing systems (purchasing portal / IRIS Purchasing module) to manage transactions accurately and efficiently.

Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries, discrepancies, and request credit notes where required.
Ideal Candidate:

Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess value for money.

Experience in finance, accounts payable, or procurement (education or public sector experience desirable).

Confident using digital finance systems.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
