Assistant Site Manager – Residential Fit-Out / Internals
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Assistant Site Manager to join an active residential development in Bracknell.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a block of 25 flats, overseeing works from 2nd fix through to final completion, with a strong emphasis on fit-out, internal finishes, and quality delivery.
This role is well suited to a driven construction professional with proven experience managing internals, finishing trades, and handover stages within residential or large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Site Manager with daily site operations and coordination

Managing works from 2nd fix through to practical completion

Overseeing internal fit-out activities across multiple units

Coordinating finishing trades (drylining, carpentry, M&E finals, decorating, flooring, etc.)

Monitoring progress of internal packages and ensuring programme adherence

Managing subcontractors, materials flow, and sequencing of trades

Conducting quality inspections across internal finishes

Managing snagging, de-snagging, and defect resolution

Ensuring works are delivered to drawings, specifications, and client standards

Maintaining strict health & safety compliance

Reviewing and enforcing RAMS

Supporting commissioning, testing, and handover processes

Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders

Maintaining high site standards, housekeeping, and workmanship quality
Requirements

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
-
CSCS Card – Black Preferred (Gold Accepted)
-
First Aid at Work Certificate (3-Day)

Proven experience within residential construction
-
Strong experience managing fit-out / internals / finishing stages

Strong quality control and snagging management experience

Tier 1 contractor experience preferred
