Due to continued success and future business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Group Legal team based at our North Yorkshire regional office in Wetherby, on a part time basis.

Joining our team as a Legal Secretary/PA, you will provide confidential administrative and secretarial support services to enable our Company Secretary and General Counsel to maximise their time. This is a varied position with the opportunity to make a real impact.
The Group Legal Team is lead by the Company Secretary and General Counsel and a small in-house group of Solicitors supported by this role. The successful candidate will gain exposure to many aspects of the teams work, build trusted relationships, and play a pivotal role in the teams success.
This is a Part Time, permanent opportunity working 25-30 hours, 4 days a week.
Key duties and requirements
You will also be responsible for but not limited to;
Setting up matters on LEAP (inhouse system), and support the in-house solicitors throughout the file lifecycle.
Update and maintain various trackers using Microsoft Excel and Teams.
Manage external legal invoices and arrange payments via Group Finance.
Digital Dictation Typing for the Company Secretary and General Counsel.
Coordinating diary management for the Company Secretary and General Counsel to include booking train tickets, hotels and arranging meetings.
Collaborate with a friendly, supportive team, contribute ideas to improve efficiency, and get involved in Group Legal team initiatives.
Demonstrable experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook, to manage documents, spreadsheets, and email communications effectively.
Candidates should be able to navigate these tools confidently to complete administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency.Who are we looking for?
To be successful as our Legal Secretary, you will convey a 'can do' approach along with the ability to work well under pressure. Previous experience within an administrative or secretarial role within a Law Firm or Professional Services environment is desirable.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a huge impact to the team, identifying ways to work more efficiently and improving existing processes. You will work closely both with the Company Secretary and General Counsel and the team's Solicitors being a key contributor to the smooth running of the team.
Outstanding organisational and time management skills are essential, along with excellent attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following:
A Proven ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise tasks, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstratable experience communicating clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment adapting to changing priorities or tasks as needed.
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work, with a track record of taking initiative and maintaining high levels of engagement and reliability.
Ability to follow structure processes accurately, with strong attention to detail and confidence working with numerical information.
