My client ar seeking 2 trainee / Junior Mining Operatives for their site.
The position requires trainees that are prepared to take on multiple roles within the group and this will include the use of forklift trucks, skidsteer wheeled loaders, tracked excavators with breakers, tractor and trailers, tracked bolting rigs, hand held air leg bolters and tracked face cutting saws.
Induction to the mine environment will be undertaken to the National Occupational Standard and this will include all training in the safe operation of the equipment, working in the mining environment and the importance of pre-use checks, defect reporting, hazard identification and communication with all colleagues and management levels.
The right applicant will have high standards of personal responsibility, time keeping and is someone that will always try to do the right thing, especially when the job is difficult and not quite going to plan. They will be able to listen, learn and to demonstrate that they have done so. The role can be demanding both physically and mentally; to do the job well there is a lot to take in, to remember and to do.

We work Monday to Friday, 8 hours per shift with overtime available at the Managers discretion each day and on the occasional Saturday. Extra monthly payments are made for those that undertake the roles of First Aiders, First Response Emergency Care Level 3 trauma training, Mines Rescue and those that attain the Level 4 Diploma in Mine Supervision.
The 2 roles are subject to a 2 month probationary period being completed in a satisfactory manner.
