I am currently representing Enfield Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a Court Officer this role will be: EN1 3ES Hybrid Working.
The right candidate will:
The Youth Justice Service provides a statutory service, established under Section 37 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1988, delivering youth justice services to young people in Enfield.
Key aim of the service is;

To provide high quality youth justice services that see children as children, treats them fairly and helps them to build on their strengths, so they can make a constructive contribution to society.

This will prevent offending and create safer communities with fewer victims. The role will be responsible for providing a practice lead and support for a dedicated area of practice.

The role will be expected to hold small number of cases or co work cases alongside of their direct reports where this is required.

The role be also responsible for championing the best practice across the service and working in consultation with dedicated QA/practice lead to drive effective practice and service improvements .

To provide and lead a pro-active service to Magistrates and Crown Courts on behalf of the Youth Justice Service and to liaise effectively with the Court Services, including Magistrates, Clerks, Crown Prosecution representatives, Defence Solicitors, young people, their families and the Children’s Services Department.

To ensure that young people and their families are supported throughout the court process ensuring they have an understanding of the processes and sentencing outcomes.

To also work with and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure that young people are given proportionate sentencing outcomes
