Events Administrator (Temporary - £15.31 per hour)
Part-time (20-25 hours per week), Office-based in Leighton Buzzard

A friendly and community-driven local organisation is looking for a Community Events Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis for up to 3 months. You'll play a key part in helping deliver some of the area's most exciting upcoming events, including The Big Lunch, Pride, and the Canal Festival.
What you'll be doing
You'll support the Community Events function with a wide variety of tasks-no two days will look the same. Your responsibilities will include:
Liaising with stallholders, performers, food vendors and local groups
Managing event admin such as updating spreadsheets and maintaining contact lists
Sending confirmation emails and tracking documentation
Researching suppliers, gathering event information and seeking quotes
Supporting communications activity, which may include:
Drafting social media content
Preparing press releases
Taking photos or short video clips
Providing content to the Communications team
Pitching in with general admin across other community projects, including markets, older people's activities, and wider community initiativesYou'll be supported by an experienced Events Contractor (usually in the office twice per week), along with a small, welcoming team who work collaboratively and flexibly.
About you

Strong administration and organisational skills
Confident communication abilities (written and verbal)
A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
An interest in community events, local engagement, or public service
The ability to be flexible across tasks and projectsEvent experience is a bonus, but not essential-enthusiasm and reliability are just as important.
