Bank Shifts
£13.00 per hour
We are recruiting Care Assistants to work bank shifts within nursing homes, residential services and assisted living settings in Lancaster. You will be supporting adults with a range of complex care needs including dementia, Alzheimer’s, brain injury and learning disabilities.
This role is suited to experienced care staff seeking flexible shifts while maintaining high standards of care.
The Role
You will deliver hands on, person centred care, ensuring residents are supported safely, respectfully and in line with individual care plans.
Key responsibilities include
• Providing personal care including washing, dressing and toileting
• Supporting residents living with dementia and Alzheimer’s
• Supporting individuals with brain injuries and learning disabilities
• Assisting with mobility and transfers in line with moving and handling guidance
• Supporting with meals, hydration and daily living tasks
• Observing and reporting changes in health, behaviour or wellbeing
• Maintaining accurate daily records and handovers
• Working in line with safeguarding and health and safety procedures
• Promoting independence and dignity at all times
Requirements
To be considered, you must have
• Previous experience working as a Care Assistant in residential, nursing or assisted living settings
• Experience supporting individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, brain injury or learning disabilities
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Knowledge of moving and handling practices
• A reliable, professional and compassionate approach
• Ability to work flexible bank shifts
