Our well-established client based in Wickenby, Lincoln is a specialist of chemical warehousing and hazardous goods transportation, and they have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team as soon as possible!
The role will be a temporary on going role initially, working full time hours of Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
The pay rate for the role is £14.00 per hour.
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant, ideally from an industrial or logistics background who is used to working with finance packages and has experience of credit control, invoicing and other common accounting tasks.
Duties of the role will include: -
· Monitor overdue payments and follow up with customers
· Create and issue accurate sales invoices on time
· Process payments, credit notes, and refunds
· Record financial transactions and maintain accurate accounts
· Use accounting software/packages to manage finances
· Assist with bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
· Handle petty cash transactions and reconciliations
· Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
· Prepare financial reports and assist with VAT returns
· Provide support for payroll processing and employee records
· Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments
· Maintain up-to-date and organized financial records
· Support senior accountants and provide general administrative assistance
